What should I have ready when I call?
Three details let us give you a price and a time on the first call:
- What you have: a wood, gas or pellet fireplace or stove, a dryer vent, or a forced-air duct system.
- When it was last cleaned or inspected, if you know.
- What you have noticed: smoke in the room, a smell, a leak, slow drying, dust from the vents.
Is it an emergency?
If smoke is coming back into the room or soot is falling into the firebox, stop using the fireplace and call (913) 210-6606. If you smell gas or a carbon monoxide alarm sounds, leave the house and call 911 first.
